Day 1 at the Dressage Show in Parker Colorado

Last Updated Sep 2009

Today was the first competition day for Natalie Hammond Dressage in Parker Colorado. Riding in FEI Test of Choice Natalie rode the Intermediate 1 test.

After the test we realized that it had been at least 14 months since Corolo 3 had been under saddle in competition and it showed! He was nervous as he has never been before, the judges definitely picked up on that. A respectable third place finish was had, even with all the nerves.

The arenas were all fairly muddy, and scores were low across the board as horses fought with the muddy conditions for a good grip.

Natalie will be riding the same test for the next two days, hopefully Corolo has all the nerves worked out now and we can come home with more ribbons, preferably of the blue color!

We should have plenty of photos and video from the Rocky Mountain Dressage Society Championships (and open show) up over the next week or so.
